Soda ash import and export in May

Customs data shows that in May, domestic soda ash imports were 75,000 tons and exports were 73,900 tons. From January to May, the cumulative import volume was 673,700 tons, an increase of 489,500 tons year-on-year, an increase of 265.82%. The cumulative exports from January to May were 382,300 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 413,600 tons, a decrease of 51.97%. 

The average import price of soda ash in May was US$218/ton, and the average export price was US$260/ton. Import and export prices were basically stable in April.
